The interior features the frame of a 1920s greenhouse and in addition to the main building, we also have a renovated 1900-era house on its premises. Inside you'll find our home store filled with nature-inspired décor, candles and lighting, seasonal packaged foods, gifts, and garden gear. Adjacent is our greenhouse with a lush assortment of indoor plants and containers, as well as a station for custom plantings by our Design Services team. Fetch Dog Rescue was founded in March of 2023, by 4 partners who are incredibly passionate about helping to save dogs who wouldn't otherwise have a voice. We are all dog lovers and have committed our lives to taking dogs from bad situations and helping them find their loving forever homes in the CT area. Our dogs come from across the Southern states. Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama and the Carolinas are just a few states that are struggling with over crowded shelters, spay and neuter laws and strays. We work with rescue partners to take into care dogs of all breeds and provide medical care, transport and assist in the placement into their forever homes in the Fairfield county area of Connecticut. We have strong relationships with these partners and they stay in constant communication with us during this process. Our partners also do dog and child testing, and some do cats as well. Our purpose is to help as many animals in need through rescue, education and prevention.

The beautiful 41-acre experience-focused winery is the brainchild of enophiles, Neviana Zhgaba and Ardian Llomi, who purchased the former 200-year-old farm in 2016. Drawing on their Mediterranean heritage, the Aquila’s Nest Vineyard experience intermingles mythology, art and wine to create a story that will define the guest experience from the moment one enters the driveway, to the first peak of the Mediterranean statues in front the winery entrance. Ardian and Neviana both grew up in Albania, a country in the crossroads of Italian, Slavic, Turkish and Greek traditions. Ardian was raised in the Albanian countryside, where fruticulture and farming was part of everyday life. Throughout the period of the winemaking process, many families of the community would get together to taste the old wines, share winemaking best practices, bring up discussions from many other areas of life and talk about what they could do better as a community. All our wines are branded with the image of a constellation, the name of a woman drawn from an ancient Mediterranean myth, the inscription of a wisdom Latin phrase translated in English in the back of the label, as well as a unique wine cup design of the story that brings all these elements together. Since 2016, the winery has been converting their 100+ hectares of vineyards to organic farming. The winery is currently in the process of completing their B-Corp certification, a rigorous set of criteria that promotes sustainability in all areas, from organic agriculture to eco-friendly packaging to renewable sources of energy to responsible employment practices.
